A “TASTER day” will be held in Shiplake tomorrow (Saturday).

The corner shop, the butchers and the two village pubs will offer customers the opportunity to try their produce.

Organiser Carol Harvey, who co-owns the corner shop with her husband Mark, said: “It’s a chance for people to see what their local businesses have to offer as well as a chance for the community to get together.

“Customers can come and try some of the things that normally sit on our shelves, like jams and chutneys, without having to buy a whole jar.

“Village businesses need to keep customers interested and this will give them an opportunity to see what we do.”

Stalls will be set up outside the corner shop from 9am to 12.30pm.
