Circus is tops with children

MORE than 400 people attended a circus day held at Piggott Infant School in Wargrave.

MORE than 400 people attended a circus day held at Piggott Infant School in Wargrave.

Circus PaZa, featuring Zaz the clown, gave two children’s shows, one of which sold out in advance.

Other attractions included a barbecue, licensed bar and face-painting.

The event raised £1,400, which will go towards computers for the Piggott junior and infant schools.

Dom Matthews, treasurer of the parent-teacher association, said: “The kids really enjoyed it and we already have both parents and children asking when the next event will be.

“Everyone was talking about it in the playground and the kids were saying that Zaz was the best clown ever.

“We will definitely do it again but have yet to decide whether it will be each year or every two years.

“The idea came about because during Wargrave Festival years the school does not hold a fair.

“Oue association event at the festival is an Eighties night for the parents but we wanted to do something for the kids too.”
