Beavers clean up

TWO teams of beavers from the 2nd Goring and Streatley scout group cleared the recreation grounds of the two

TWO teams of beavers from the 2nd Goring and Streatley scout group cleared the recreation grounds of the two villages of litter.

Armed with sacks, a picker and gloves, they filled the equivalent of one-and-a-half black sacks in an hour. It was their contribution to Britain Bloom and counted towards their “helpful beaver” badge.

Group scout master David Cooksley said: “The beavers received a lot of praise from people using the recreation grounds, so that really spurred them on.”

From September, there will be 10 vacancies for boys and girls aged six to eight. Call Mr Cooksley on (01491) 872306 or email davidcooksley@hotmail.com
