A SERIES of historical walks around Watlington raised £700 for three groups. Tim Horton, chairman of Watlington in Bloom, organised the two-hour walks, which took place last month. He said: “We have seen about 45 people each week ambling through the town and across Watlington Hill. I hope that each occasion had something new for all who came.” Most of the money raised will be used by Watlington in Bloom for upcoming projects. Smaller donations have been made to the trustees of the town hall and St Leonard’s Church. Meanwhile, the Watlington in Bloom group is finalising details for an oak pagoda to be put in Mansle Gardens.
