£2,300 for Legion

MORE than £2,300 was raised for the Royal British Legion at a fete held in Watlington last month.

MORE than £2,300 was raised for the Royal British Legion at a fete held in Watlington last month.

Attractions included tea and home-made cakes, a barbecue and beer tent. Music was provided by Watlington Concert Band.

Jim Stubbs, secretary of the Watlington branch of the Legion, said: “We are grateful to those who helped set up the occasion, those businesses and individuals who donated prizes and goods and, not least, everyone who came.”
