TWO choirs are to join forces for a fund-raising jumble sale.

Charvil Voices and Jewel Tones will host the sale at Charvil Village Hall in Park Lane, where they both practice, next Saturday (September 28) from 2pm.

The proceeds will go towards sheet music and concert uniforms.

Suzanne Newman, musical director of both choirs, said: “The members will be helping out and anyone is welcome to come along and buy or sell. There will be clothes, books, toys and all sorts.

“We normally do one sale every year and this must be at least our 20th time.”

Admission costs 20p and refreshments will be available.

Jewel Tones is a choir for girls aged 10 to 18, while Charvil Voices, founded in 2008, is for older singers.

The choirs will perform at the Maidenhead Music Festival next month before taking part in a concert at St Mary’s Church in Wargrave in December.
