Tap dance record bid

CHILDREN from Watlington will take part in a nationwide attempt to break the world record for the largest tap dance

CHILDREN from Watlington will take part in a nationwide attempt to break the world record for the largest tap dance next month.

Dancers from the Performanze Academy, which holds classes in Watlington, Chalgrove and Crowmarsh Gifford, will join the attempt in aid of Children in Need at 1pm on November 17.

The children, aged three to 16, will perform one of two dances to the Robbie Williams’ song Candy in the Watlington Memorial Club studio.

Rosie Easton, who runs Performanze, said: “We thought it was a good opportunity to bring all the children from our classes together so that they could share this event and get a real sense of achievement.

“The children have been learning their dances all term and we are hoping their parents and siblings will come and support them.”
