Grand grant for club

HENLEY Bowls Club has received a grant of £1,000 to help upgrade its insulation and reduce its heating and running

HENLEY Bowls Club has received a grant of £1,000 to help upgrade its insulation and reduce its heating and running costs.

Town and county councillor David Nimmo Smith donated the money from his £10,000 community fund, money allocated to individual councillors to use on schemes in their wards.

Cllr Nimmo Smith has also approved grants of £1,000 towards a defibrillator for the Millie’s Dream appeal and £500 towards the one-day hire of Street Snooker at Makins recreation ground in August.
