30th year for 10km

RUNNERS are being reminded that the Goring, Woodcote and District Lions Club’s 10km race takes place next Saturday.

RUNNERS are being reminded that the Goring, Woodcote and District Lions Club’s 10km race takes place next Saturday.

The fund-raising event, now in its 30th year, will start and finish at Woodcote village green in Reading Road, beginning at 10.30am.

There will be a trophy for the overall winner and for the first male and female to finish in each of four age groups. All finishers will receive a medal.

The race is open to anyone aged 15 or over. Entry is £15 in advance (£13 for running club members) or £17 on the day. Late entrants must register by 9.30am.

Proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.

* The Goring 10km race in aid of the village primary school will take place on March 16. Entry is £16 at www.goring10k.co.uk
