BENSON youth hall and scout hut should be rebuilt, according to residents.

BENSON youth hall and scout hut should be rebuilt, according to residents.

There were more than 300 responses to the survey carried out by the parish council’s youth facilities working group.

Many said the buildings should be rebuilt.

Some also wanted the village playgrounds to be refurbished.

The most popular choices for new facilities were an adventure recreation area with a zip wire (outdoor) and a sports centre (indoor).

Group chairwoman Teresa McTeague said: “I think it’s fair to say we didn’t get many surprises.”

The group will hold a public meeting at the parish hall on Saturday, April 18 from 11am to 2pm when the full survey results will be  displayed.
