Youth club decision

THE future of Watlington youth club is set to be decided next week.

THE future of Watlington youth club is set to be decided next week.

Fears were raised in May that the club could close if a new committee wasn’t found.

Since then six people have come forward and expressed an interest in joining the committee and a meeting will be held on Wednesday.

Acting chairman and parish councillor Roger Beattie, who had originally raised the concern, said he was now confident that the club could continue.

The club meets at the pavilion on Tuesdays and Thursdays for children up to age 14.

Wednesday’s meeting will be held in the parish office at 7.30pm and anyone interested in joining the committee is welcome to attend.
