JOHN PRAGNELL, a founding member of the club, was awarded Rotary’s most prestigious award, a Paul Harris Fellowship, at a ceremony at Badgemore Park Golf Club.
The award was given in recognition of John’s long association with Rotary, fund-raising and working with Thrive, a charity which aims to enable positive change in the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people through gardening.
John helped start the club in 1982 and was instrumental in the twinning of the club with a club in Normandy, St Hilaire du Harcouet. For the last 19 years John has helped organise and run the Rotary young chef competition.
