MORE than 60 people attended a Bollywood-themed party in Crazies Hill.

The event, which was organised by Crazies Hill residents’ association, was held at the village hall and featured a three-course Indian meal supplied by the Spice Lounge restaurant in High Street, Wargrave, and a display by the Dancing Nikita Company of Slough.

The hall was decorated by residents Jo Leslie and Annie Davies, with posters and wall hangings as well as traditional candles on the tables. Organiser Tess Dixon said: “It was a great success with positive comments from the residents who attended. Some people said it’s what a community get-together should be about.

“Everyone was very impressed by the quality of the food and the interactive Indian dancing was very popular with people joining in. There was a great atmosphere.

“We do all kinds of events and residents want one every now and again where they can sit and talk as well as have a dance. After that we decided on an Indian menu and the Bollywood theme.”
