A WOMAN has succeeded her husband in chairing the board of trustees at Camp Mohawk in Wargrave.

Catharina Reynolds will oversee the running of the centre for disabled children in Highfield Lane.

She has worked in various government and sporting roles and was awarded the OBE in 2005 for her work on London’s successful bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

Centre manager Chris Wilcox said: “We are delighted to welcome Catharina and look forward to working with her.

“On behalf of the management team, I would like to say a huge thank-you to her husband Gary, who has made a significant and lasting impact on the board by setting up the current structure of trustees.

“This structure places the trust in a strong position and the management team could not be happier to have such an enthusiastic, dynamic and proactive team of trustees working assisting us in everything that we set out to achieve.”

Chris Stillman, who recently became chairman of the Friends of Camp Mohawk, has also joined the board, which also includes Vicci Jarvis, Hannah Crisp, Clare Turner, Jamie Lynch and Roger Batchelor.
