SHOPPERS helped raise £330 towards a new skate park in Henley through the Waitrose green token scheme.

The Henley Skate Park Initiative is trying to raise £275,000 to replace the facility at Makins recreation ground.

It has already been awarded £100,000 by South Oxfordshire District Council and £75,000 by Henley Town council and hopes to obtain £50,000 from Sport England as well as raising £5,000 itself.

Construction work is expected to begin in the summer.
