Wargrave and District Snooker Club has been named Berkshire’s best club by the Campaign for Real Ale. It is the ninth time in 10 years that the private members’ club in Church Road has won the award. The presentation was made by Wargrave resident John Robinson. Club chairman Steve Sears said: “The award is for the quality of the club and the beer, the friendliness of the bar staff and the general ambience and it is a nice, friendly club.” He is pictured, right, with former chairman Bill Wood holding the award.
