THE group is back meeting this month when we are going for a provocative talk called “Is atheism liveable?”
While this title may be confrontational, the speaker’s style is not so we are looking forward to a respectful discussion. The speaker is philosophy graduate Tom Price, from Oxford.
If the idea of God is rejected, are there other such philosophical or practical foundations available? That will be the challenge. We expect a very enlightening evening as we hear the challenge and the atheists in the discussion group seek to meet it.
Please do come, listen and join in the discussion. As ever, it will start with questions and answers with the speaker followed by discussion around tables. All are welcome and there is no admission charge.
The meeting will be held at the Salisbury Club in Queen Street, Henley, on Tuesday, January 19 from 7.45pm to 10pm.
