THE director of this year’s Wargrave pantomime says the show was a “great success”.

Linda Daman directed Wargrave Theatre Workshop’s annual production for the third time.

Hundreds of people attended six showings of Cinderella at the Woodclyffe Hall in High Street last week.

The show starred Mrs Daman’s daughter Josie as Cinderella, Elliott Warms as Buttons and Clive Dow and Graham Wheal as the dames.

It was written by Alan P Frayne, who has written several other pantomimes performed by the group.

Mrs Daman, of Wargrave Road, said: “It was sold out and I’ve had nothing but really nice comments from everyone.

“This year’s show was a bit different as we had more audience interaction with the two dames. It was a younger cast than I’ve had before but they were brilliant.

“Every year someone in the audience says it’s the best show ever and for me it’s right up there. I’d love to be involved again next year.”
