Warning to nursery

A CHILDREN’S nursery in Henley is to be warned to take more care with its disposal of waste.

A CHILDREN’S nursery in Henley is to be warned to take more care with its disposal of waste.

Councillor Kellie Hinton raised her concerns about the problem at the Mill Meadows Nursery and After School Club, which is based in the Leichlingen Pavilion, at a meeting of the town council’s recreation and amenities committee.

She said that “some sort of animal” was getting into the nursery’s waste, including dirty nappies, and the council’s park services staff had to clean the area in front of the pavilion.

“They need to get a food waste bin and dispose of their refuse properly and come to some sort of agreement with parks services,” said Cllr  Hinton.

Nursery owner Samuel Ngube, who rents the premises from the council, will be spoken to and a report will be prepared for the committee’s next meeting.
