FOLLOWING last year’s celebration of the 60th anniversary of the formation of Henley Flower Club, it was with much regret the club was formally terminated in January.

It was a very successful club for so many years, enjoyed by many ladies of Henley and district, with professional demonstrations in the art of arranging flowers for weddings, dinners etc, and participating in festivals and shows. Most important of all are the firm friendships made throughout the club that will probably last forever.

Due to falling membership and rising costs, it was decided that to continue was no longer viable.

Remaining funds are to be divided between the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust, Helen and Douglas House and the National Association of Flower Arrangers.
