2nd Wargrave Brownies

BROWNIE Annabel Norman has received a special award for completing 71 badges.

BROWNIE Annabel Norman has received a special award for completing 71 badges.

Annabel, who was 10 on Saturday, was presented with a silver salver to mark her achievement at a meeting of the 2nd Wargrave Brownies on March 16.

Annabel, who goes to Robert Piggott Junior School in Wargrave, has been a brownie for three years and has earned badges in areas including horse riding, swimming and world cultures.

The salver was present by the troop’s Elf Owl Claire Fletcher and Fluffy Owl Sonia Norman, who is her mother.

Mrs Norman said: “This is a wonderful achievement. Annabel has worked very hard during her time at brownies to achieve these badges.

“It is very unusual for a brownie to gain this many badges and both 2nd Wargrave Brownies and the Maidenhead division would like to congratulate Annabel on her success.”

The brownies are also looking for adult volunteers to help units across the region, including Wargrave. For more information, email commissioner@girlguidingmaidenhead.org.uk
