A BELATED Christmas lunch for people aged 60-plus was held at Stoke Row village hall.
About 60 people enjoyed the two-course meal and wore Christmas hats and pulled crackers.
Turkey was provided by the Crooked Billet restaurant in the village and residents contributed puddings.
Lunch co-ordinator Tilley Smith said: “It’s a tradition to have a Christmas lunch but we decided there was so much going on at Christmas that it would be nicer to do it in the New Year when it’s a bit quieter.
“It has been going on for about 30 years and there were people here who used to organise it. It’s very much for people who have grown up in the village.”
