Roads re-open though flooding remains

Roads in Henley have been re-opened after the floodwater began to subside.

New Street and Bell Street were opened to traffic yesterday and Riverside is operating with one lane. Thames Side remains closed up to Station Road.

Mill Lane is still shut and Wargrave Road is closed between White Hill and Kentons Lane. Sonning Bridge remains shut.

Another inspection was due to be carried out by Oxfordshire County Council officials later today.

Trains between Reading and Paddington were badly disrupted again today due to flooding at Maidenhead.

This week's Henley Standard will have pictures and a full report in the floods and the resulting disruption.
