AN inflatable boom was installed in Thames Side, Henley, on Wednesday night to stop it flooding again.
Eight firefighters from the Henley station installed the 75m tube, which stretched from outside Hobbs of Henley towards the Angel on the Bridge pub.
They then filled it with water and used the bollards to fix it in place.
Soldiers arrived in Hurley on Wednesday with sandbags for villagers affected by flooding.
Additional sandbags were provided by builders Gibbs & Dandy and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead put portable toilets around the village.
