Educating poorer children

OCEANS Project helps educate 17,000 children in impoverished countries by providing free teaching resources over the internet.

Proceeds from the row will be shared between several dozen children’s projects across Asia, Africa and South America. This will enable youngsters to be equipped with tablet computers, internet access, projectors and solar chargers.

Miss Weldon will be blogging about her journey as she rows so that young people who use the service can follow her progress. She hopes to undertake one rowing challenge every year from now on to raise money for Oceans Project.
