Family pays tribute to earthquake victim on third anniversary

THE family of a Henley woman killed in the New Zealand earthquake have marked the third anniversary of her death.

Susan Selway, a clinical psychologist, was in her office at the Canterbury TV tower block in Christchurch when it collapsed as the earthquake struck at lunchtime on February 22, 2011.

The earthquake measured 6.2 on the Richter scale and 185 people died as a result.

Her father Malcolm Selway, of Makins Road, Henley, has been in New Zealand for the past four weeks and was due to return today (Friday).

Her stepmother Linda Selway said a memorial service for the victims was held in Hagley Park, Christchurch, on Saturday.
