Helping dementia sufferers

PEOPLE can find out how they can support those in Watlington living with dementia.

A new project is bringing together a range of organisations that seek to support people with dementia to remain in their own communities as well as raise awareness.

A meeting will be held at Watlington town hall on Wednesday at 10am. It has been organised by Oxfordshire Rural Community Council and is funded by the NHS South Dementia Challenge Fund.

The project is for all members of the community and not only those directly affected by dementia. No experience is necessary and all ages are welcome. Free training will be given.

After this meeting those interested will be invited to attend another two free sessions. These could include:
