More rail travellers

MORE people are travelling by train to and from Henley.

Ticket sales at Henley station grew by five per cent during 2012/13, according to figures released by the Office of Rail Regulation.

The number of entries and exits at the station totalled 727,994 compared with 694,142 in the previous year.

Shiplake station saw a 7.5 per cent increase from 86,928 to 93,466 while the total at Wargrave station grew by 8.3 per cent from 84,300 to 91,298.
