A RETIRED teacher suffered cuts and bruises on her face after tripping on loose paving in Henley.
Sheila Brown, 86, stumbled on the uneven tiles in Market Place Mews and hit her head when she fell to the ground.
She suffered two black eyes and bruising on both sides of her mouth as well as a large bump and grazes on her forehead. She was also in shock and needed the help of several passers-by to get her back on her feet.
The “Good Samaritans” sat her at the side of the passageway, which connects Market Place to the King’s Road car park, and called an ambulance.
They then stayed with Mrs Brown to reassure her until paramedics arrived a few minutes later.
