A HOUSING association has apologised for taking three months to carry out repairs at the home of a terminally ill woman.
Soha sent workmen to Dorothy Light’s bungalow in Woodcote as soon as the Henley Standard made enquiries about her plight.
The 71-year-old has lived at association property in Wittenham Close with her husband Philip, 80, for 20 years.
The former hairdresser has had inoperable kidney cancer since 2004 and spends most of her days on a bed in the lounge.
In November Soha contractor Leadbitter refurbished the couple’s kitchen but one of the workmen accidentally ripped a 2ft wide patch of artex from the ceiling in the living room.
