Protecting wildlife

A SCHEME has been launched to protect wildlife in Goring.

The Withymead Nature Reserve is looking for volunteers to survey flora and fauna living on the Thames near the village.

Once it has a clearer idea of which species are present, it will come up with ways to improve their habitats and increase their populations.

The project, called Teaming With Life, is organised by the reserve’s Anne Carpmael Charitable Trust.

An open day for potential volunteers will take place at the site from 10am until 4pm on April 19.
