RESIDENTS concerned about their homes in Benson being flooded have set up an action group.
Villagers along Brook Street raised the issue of maintenance of the Ewelme Brook at a parish council meeting last month.
Rob Workman, who lives in the road, said: “Generally we’re all very concerned. I think there was about 12 of us that turned up at the parish council meeting but there are 20, possibly 30, residents along Brook Street that are very concerned that if we carry on and nothing is done it’s going to become quite a major issue in the future.”
Mr Workman added that he was concerned about the capacity of the brook.
Resident Peter Butcher said at the meeting: “I am very concerned about this brook, the plaster’s starting to go on my lounge.
