In search of mink

A SURVEY has been launched to find out whether mink are living on Henley’s waterways.

The Henley Wildlife Group, which is conducting the study, believes they may have set up habitats on the Thames.

It wants to reintroduce endangered water vole but says mink would kill them.

It has set up a “mink raft” near the River and Rowing Museum. This is a small wooden float lined with wet clay which will attract mink.

The group will regularly check the raft for mink footprints and put out traps if any are spotted.
