Binfield Heath to benefit from windfall

A TOTAL of £10,000 saved on the installation of broadband in Binfield Heath will spent on other projects in the village.

Villagers donated £60,000 towards the cost of the work by BT Openreach, which was completed on time in December.

Richard Ormerod, a member of the Binfield Heath Broadband Action Group, said: “Being proactive made this little village part of the 21st century.

“Now people can work from home and communicate at speeds certainly higher than anticipated.

“Not only have we got £10,000 as a windfall but fantastic superfast broadband in the village.”
