Meeting of CADRA before public consultation

THE annual meeting of Caversham and District Residents’ Association will be held at Thameside School, Harley Road, on Thursday at 7.30pm.

There will be two speakers on the subject of local planning — Lynette Baker, area planning manager at Reading Borough Council, and Professor Gavin Parker, chairman of planning studies at Reading University.

The meeting takes place the day before the public consultation on the plans for the regeneration of the St Martin’s shopping centre in Caversham.

Association chairwoman Helen Lambert said: “With Lynette’s practical local experience and Gavin’s considerable expertise in neighbourhood and community planning, it promises to be a fascinating evening and should be of considerable interest to many local people.”

Non-members are welcome. For more information, visit www.cadra.org.uk
