Rose for Lady Ryder

A NEW rose named after Lady Ryder of Warsaw will be celebrated at St Katharine’s, Parmoor, near Frieth, on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15.

A fundraising dinner in aid of the Lady Ryder Memorial Garden will be held on the Saturday evening when the guest speaker will be Phillip Harkness, of Harkness Roses.

The following day the restored walled garden will be open from 2pm to 5pm for the launch and planting of the rose by Mr Harkness with Jeremy and Elizabeth Cheshire.

Plants and refreshments will be on sale but entry is free.
