D-Day fun at pub

A CELEBRATION of D-Day will be held at the Maltsters Arms in Rotherfield Greys tonight (Friday).

Staff and customers will be dressed in Forties military uniforms and a pianist will play wartime songs. There will be an air raid shelter made from sandbags outside.

The menu will be spam fritters, corned beef hash and bread pudding made fan old recipe. The event is sold out.

Landlord Peter Bland and his wife Helen have a house in Normandy which they have given to the family of a veteran for the commemorations there.
