Glow worm spotting

NATURE lovers are being offered the opportunity to spot glow worms.

Over the next few weeks, strange yellow and green neon lights will start to appear on the grassland at Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve.

These tiny lights are actually female glow worms trying to attract a mate.

The Chilterns Conservation Board and Natural England has organised four glow worm walks between 9.45pm and 11.30pm today (Friday), on Saturdays, July 5 and 12 and Friday, July 25.

The walks cost £3 for adults and £1 for children. Spaces are strictly limited and booking is essential. Call 01844 355 500.
