BIX fun dog show and village fete has been hailed the “best ever” with hundreds of pounds raised from the event.
Forty-four dogs registered across seven classes on Saturday at Bix Common for musical chairs, most handsome dog, prettiest bitch, best trick, waggiest tail, best veteran and cutest youngster.
An eighth open class for the judge’s pick of the pack saw 38 dogs take to the show ring with 22-month-old Maggie, owned by Sharon and Simon Ingoldby of Park Road, Henley, winning the prize.
The show, which is now in its fourth year, is organised by Lower Assendon resident Maggie Templeman.
She said: “This year’s event was the best ever for the number of entrants, funds raised, support from the audience and good fun. People came from as far away as Reading and Didcot having read about the show in the Henley Standard and seen our fantastic boards sponsored by estate agents Knight Frank, Henley.”
