JUDGES of the Britain in Bloom competition heaped praise on Henley during a visit this week.
Jeff Bates and Ian Beaney said they were impressed by the town’s entry in this year’s competition following a three-hour tour on Tuesday.
Henley is competing in the national final of the town category against seven other places, having narrowly missed out on winning gold in last year’s Royal Horticultural Society competition.
The judges were shown around by Kellie Hinton, chairwoman of the Henley in Bloom committee, and Gareth Bartle, parks manager at Henley Town Council.
The tour included a trip on a boat to view the floral displays from the river.
