Motorcyclist injured after rush-hour collision with car
A MOTORCYCLIST was injured in a collision with a car in Henley during the evening rush hour on Monday.
The incident happened in Reading Road, near the junction with St Andrew’s Road, at about 5.45pm.
The male motorcyclist, who was riding a Suzuki, was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading by ambulance and is thought to have suffered a knee injury. The car driver was not injured.
It is thought the collision happened as the biker was driving along Reading Road towards the town centre and the black BMW estate car was pulling out of St Andrew’s Road.
Louise Lothian, who lives in Reading Road and rang 999, said: “I was in the garden when I heard an enormous bang. I ran as fast as I could out to see the chap sat on the pavement. He seemed quite dazed but okay.”
