Priest hosts cancer charity tea

A STRAWBERRY tea raised £735 for Breast Cancer Care.

Rev Andrea Williams, associate priest in the Nettlebed and Greys benefice, held the event in the garden of her home in Greys Road, Henley, and about 40 people attended.

The 68-year-old was treated for breast cancer last year and was off work for eight months as she underwent surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Rev Williams said: “Now I’m fighting fit again. I wanted to do something for the charity and I’m very pleased with how it went.

“I didn’t expect to raise that much and I’m really grateful to all my friends and family who donated all that money.”
