On exercise

PERSONNEL from RAF Benson are involved in a training exercise simulating a humanitarian mission.

The exercise has been taking place in Pembrokeshire this week and involves the aviation task force headquarters from the base.

It aims to test the contingency capabilities of the armed forces, specifically their ability to support helicopter operations in unknown and potentially dangerous environments. Merlin and Puma 2 from RAF Benson are among the aircraft supporting the exercise.
