Mr Toad visits museum

CHILDREN’S favourites Mr Toad and Hugless Douglas joined youngsters at a family day at Henley River and Rowing Museum.

Families were able to enjoy a fancy dress competition, face painting, bunting making, arts and crafts activities, giant snakes and ladders game and badge-making at Mr Toad’s Magnificent Country Show.

The event was part of the museum’s summer holiday programme.

Hugless Douglas joined in the fun thanks to Henley Children’s Literary Festival which holds its children and family events at the museum in October.

Catherine Yoxall, the museum’s marketing manager, said: “It’s a way of us connecting with local families and encouraging them to feel welcome in the museum and hopefully they’ll continue to come back to it every school holiday.”
