Fete profit

ABOUT £1,400 was raised at the Royal British Legion fete in Watlington last month.

More than 130 people attended the event despite persistent rain.

James Stubbs, secretary of the Watlington branch of the Royal British Legion, said: “The net takings were greater than expected, so thanks to those who attended and those who contributed money, prizes or physical effort before, during and after the event.”
