Village’s summer fete in need of more volunteers

VOLUNTEERS are needed to help organise next year’s Charvil village fete.

The fete, which is held every June, is currently run by a committee of six people but organisers say they need more locals to get involved.

Volunteers meet every few months and more often as the fete nears.

Rev Alison Waters, one of the organisers, said: “We are very keen to have more volunteers.

“People think the fete is put on by the parish council but it’s actually a separate group of people and we need as much help as we can get.
