Nicolson and Vejsholt

FAMILY and friends of Fi Nicolson and Jan Vejsholt gathered at St Mary’s Church in Henley to celebrate their wedding.

FAMILY and friends of Fi Nicolson and Jan Vejsholt gathered at St Mary’s Church in Henley to celebrate their wedding.

The eclectic group consisted of many local faces, a strong Scottish gathering and a large contingent from Denmark — Fi is from Scotland and Jan is Danish, although he has lived in Henley for more than 10 years.

Many of the wedding party were the couple’s friends from the Henley Hares Runners. After the ceremony, the couple were played out of the church by piper Peter McNaughton who then proceeded to lead the entire wedding party up the centre of the road and over the bridge to the Little Angel for the reception.

Guest Polly Kemp said: “It was a wonderful day, full of fun and happiness, and the sight of a long line of happy faces stopping the traffic to parade behind a piper and the bride and groom is one that I shall remember for a very long time!”
