A Christmas fair raised £900 for the Nettlebed Sports Association. The event, held in the Nettlebed Village Club, featured stalls selling jewellery, beauty products, artwork, homeware and books. Businesses selling their products included cthe Nettlebed Creamery, Honeys of Henley and Life at Nettlebed. There was also a barbecue, mulled wine, face painting and a raffle.
Organiser Jodi Butler, who lives in Catslip, said: “I love organising stuff, I can’t help myself. We don’t have anything like this so it’s definitely needed and it’s keeping it local. Nettlebed Sports Association was set up to promote sporting activities on the recreation ground and raise money for the good of the community and holds an annual fete in July. The money raised will go towards the upkeep of the pavilion and recreation ground.
