PLANS for a rooftop yoga studio at a sports shop in Henley have been supported by the town council.
Athlete Service wants to convert the roof of the Oast House to create the space and run professional sessions.
The yoga studio would be open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
Henley Town Council’s planning committee recommended the application is approved by South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority. Deputy Mayor Will Hamilton said: “They can do this and do it without putting heaters on the patio. It would provide a valuable additional service to the town.”
Laurence Plant and Rob Griffiths launched the business at the Henley Enterprise Park in December 2013 but moved to its current location in 2014. Over the years the building has been used as a boxing club, offices, a nightclub and a gym.
The district council will make a decision by July 22.
