Handyman bid

A FRESH call has been made for Henley Town Council to employ a handyman.

A FRESH call has been made for Henley Town Council to employ a handyman.

Councillor David Eggleton first suggested the idea in February and has called on his colleagues to look into whether it’s feasible.

He said the person would ensure that maintenance work is carried out quickly and efficiently.

Councillor Eggleton told a meeting of the traffic advisory committee that the council should consider looking again at the proposal.

He said: “I still believe there is a need for someone in the town as a maintenance person that can work on specific jobs. They would work with South Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council and park services.”
